A qualified, professional statistician is required to lead the analysis of clinical diagnostic and survival studies. The analysis must be of the appropriate standard for publication in top bio/medical journals and for submission to regulatory authorities. Advice on the design of prospective studies will also be required. Effective team working with regulatory affairs specialists, R&D scientists and clinical researchers will be necessary and good communication skills are essential. Additional duties will include statistical guidance on suitable quality control and quality assurance protocols in the production of medical diagnostic devices. Essential skills required are a maths/applied statistics/medical statistics MSc or PhD or equivalent (other relevant subjects with high statistical content will be considered providing the candidate can show relevant experience). Experience in the statistical analysis of clinical trials within Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology/Public Health setting in Industry, Government or Academia would be advantageous. Statistical project planning and project management, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate statistical information effectively (written and oral) and excellent team working skills are essential.
