Research Fellow, Centre for Psychiatry, Queen Mary University of LondonWolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine, Centre for Psychiatry Research Fellow An opportunity has arisen for a Research Fellow in the Centre for Psychiatry, Queen Mary University of London. The post holder will work with Professor Jeremy Coid and Dr Constantinos Kallis on the epidemiological component of a Research Programme funded by the NIHR, "Improving Risk Management in Mental Health Sciences." The postholder will be responsible for taking a lead in producing reports and publications together with other members of the Forensic Psychiatry Research Unit. This will involve being responsible for carrying out secondary analysis of three cross-sectional national datasets and the possibility of being involved in the analysis and preparation of reports from additional longitudinal datasets for the completion of this part of the programme. The successful candidate will be based at William Harvey House, Bartholomew's Hospital and will assist the Professor Coid (Principal Investigator) and Dr Kallis (Senior Lecturer in Medical Statistics) in conducting all aspects of the study. Candidates should hold a first or second class upper undergraduate degree in psychology or a related social science with a strong interest in research, excellent written and oral communication skills and enthusiasm for working in a team. Knowledge of mental health services and experience of mental health research is desirable. The post is full time and fixed term for 4 years and is available from October 2010. Starting salary will be within the range £41,862- £46,751 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
